Ronseal Weatherproof 10 Year Exterior Wood Paint

Our toughest outdoor paint yet. Weatherproof in 1 hour. Resists cracking, peeling and blistering for 10 years guaranteed. So whatever colour you choose, it'll keep your home looking it's best for longer.

Before You Start

Make sure the wood surface to be painted is clean, dry and free from dirt, dust and grease.

Prep - Bare Wood

Start by lightly sanding your wood to give it an even finish. Use 120grit sandpaper and sand in the direction of the woodgrain. Remember to wear a face mask.
When the dust has settled, give the area a wipe with white spirit. Fill any holes or cracks with our Multi Purpose Wood Filler. Then put on 2 coats of our Super Flexible Primer & Undercoat. This will help your paint stick and make it last longer.

Prep - Previously Painted Wood

If your old paint is in good condition give it a light sand with 240grit sandpaper. When the dust has settled, give the area a wipe with white spirit. Then put on 2 coats of our Super Flexible Primer & Undercoat. This will help your paint stick and make it last longer.
If your paint is flaking or cracked you’ll need to sand it back to bare wood. The easiest way to do this is with an electric sander. Use 120grit sandpaper and sand in the direction of the woodgrain. It creates a lot of dust, so make sure you wear a face mask. When the dust has settled, give the area a wipe with white spirit. Fill any holes or cracks with our Multi Purpose Wood Filler. For holes and cracks bigger than 5mm use our High Performance Wood Filler. Then put on 2 coats of our Super Flexible Primer & Undercoat. This will help your paint stick and make it last longer.

Using Ronseal Weatherproof 10 Year Exterior Wood Paint

Give your paint a really good stir. Then paint it on with a synthetic brush, in the direction of the woodgrain. Leave it to dry for 4 hours then put your 2nd coat on. The last coat will be touch dry in just 1 hour. That’s it, job done.

Usage Areas: All outdoor wood. Don't use on decking.
Compatibility: New or previously painted wood.
Clean Up: Clean all brushes using warm, soapy water.
