Ronseal Knot Block Wood Primer and Undercoat

Our exterior Knot Block Wood Primer permanently stops wood knots from showing through your paint. Pine and other softwoods are prone to wood knots. Knots, if they aren't primed, can show through your paint and leak liquid which can look yellow. They can also make your paint crack or peel.
To stop this use our Knot Block Wood Primer & Undercoat.

Before You Start

Put down dust sheets to protect anything you don't want to get paint on.

Preparation: Remove any loose, flaking or peeling coatings. Lightly sand your wood, this will help to give an even finish and make your paint stick better. Remember to wear a face mask. When the dust has settled give the area a quick vacuum and wipe with white spirit. If you can see any imperfections, fill them with our Multi-Purpose Wood Filler

Using Your Primer

Give the tin a really good stir, then paint it on in the direction of the grain. You'll need to put on 2 coats leaving 4 hours between each coat.

After you've applied the second coat, it'll be weatherproof in just 1 hour.

Usage Areas: All smooth indoor wood.
Compatibility: Bare and previously painted wood.
Clean Up: Clean all brushed in warm, soapy water.
